Music maestro AR Rahman needs no introduction; his fans eagerly wait for him to compose and croon numbers that are soothing to our ears. Rahman’s fans now have a reason to celebrate. Rahman is all set to perform live at the Busan Film Festival 2019 and he himself has made this announcement via social media.  This news is nothing less than a treat for his die-hard fans across the globe. The Oscar winning music composer will be presenting a glimpse of his upcoming musical love story, 99 Songs during his live performance.  He quoted to PTI, "I am delighted to be a part of this amazing gathering of film enthusiasts and have the screening of our labour of love at BIFF. The film's music is very special and so integral to its story that I feel compelled to introduce it to audiences at this very special event before the screening. I'm looking forward to bringing them this celebration of cinema and music and can't wait for the reactions.”

He will be marking his debut as a writer with 99 Songs, helmed by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy. It narrates a story of a budding singer who aims to be a successful music composer.
 
Produced under Rahman banner’s YM Movies, its a joint venture between his production banner and Ideal Entertainment, presented by Jio Studios.
 
It stars Ehan Bhat, Manisha Koirala, Edily Varghese, Tenzin Dalha, Lisa Ray and Ranjit Barot. Presented by Jio Studios, the film is produced by Rahman's banner YM Movies and co-produced by Ideal Entertainment.
